5Rhythms® Teachers

Embodiment
Teachers on this path are required to be original, honest, spontaneous mirrors of the 5Rhythms practice. Since this work is fundamentally rooted in movement, to embody them is to be willing to move and be moved in the moment, in a grace spun by something bigger. A teacher is somebody committed to being real and accountable, and providing the space, permission and guidance for you to do the same
Why the Commitment Runs So Deep
To truly embody the 5Rhythms and guide others with insight, teachers must commit to a deep, personal journey before they ever set foot at the front of a class. Here's what it takes to even begin teaching Waves, the foundation of all 5Rhythms work:
500 Hours of Practice
At least 500 hours of personal study and practice.
30 Days of Immersion
30 days of in-person and online immersive training with Jonathan Horan and the teaching circle, typically spread out over a full year to allow space for integration.
Advanced Mastery
A small number of the most experienced teachers have done additional training to teach other levels of the Dancing Path.
Why so much dedication? Because teaching 5Rhythms is about being able to hold profound space for others, to offer guidance from your own lived experience, and to be a true catalyst for change. You can only take someone as far as you've danced yourself.

Commitment to Growth
Being a teacher means staying a lifelong student. There’s no finish line: the process is one of constant evolution and ongoing creativity. Teachers don’t just teach, they are the teaching.

Certified and Connected
